Intercede Ventures Limited was represented at the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) Seminar in London on 1st November 2017 by its Managing Director Graham Mimms.
The subject of the seminar was CORSIA (Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation), LATEST PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENTS. It followed up on a previous two-day seminar held earlier in the year when aviation industry managers, including IVL, were fully briefed on the outline agreement reached by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) members in Montreal in October 2016 for a long term mandatory program aimed at reducing aviation carbon emissions significantly by 2035.
Representatives at this seminar included key players from airline, engine manufacturer, environment and air traffic control sections of the industry. Each was able to confirm their preparatory progress towards establishing the CORSIA scheme which requires reduced environment impact advances to achieve targeted goals. IVL’s successful proof-of-concept trials on six Boeing commercial aircraft using the IASA (Intercede Aircraft Surface Analyser) represent an important opportunity to contribute to the aims of CORSIA by providing aircraft operators scientifically backed systems that reduce their carbon footprints and cut fuel costs at the same time.
